The Muscat Blanc grape variety is most famous for producing sweet, fortified and sometimes sparkling wines. These wines are bursting with grape, peach, orange and other citrus fruit flavors. If the wine is aged in oak, oxidation darkens the color and allows more complex dried fruit flavors to emerge. Some famous growing regions include Alsace in France, Asti in Italy as well as regions in Spain.
